Background
The Department of Health has been conducting a series of Health Manpower Surveys (HMS) on the healthcare personnel practising in Hong Kong since 1980. The surveys aim to obtain up-to-date information on the characteristics and employment status of all healthcare personnel working in Hong Kong. This information will be useful for health manpower planning.
