Public Health Nursing Division

Public Health Nursing Division (PHND) is responsible for the overall nursing administration, including professional development, manpower planning and posting, as well as performance management of the nursing and allied grades (N&AG), comprising Registered Nurse, Enrolled Nurse and Inoculator grades. It provides professional and administrative support for all N&AG staff working in various Service Units, including developing new initiatives and identifying suitable training opportunities to better equip them for pursuing international standards, conducting nursing related research and quality assurance projects, etc. PHND is also responsible for emergency deployment of N&AG staff. It takes part in various public health measures, particularly in charge of the emergency hotline centre in times of public health crises or outbreak of communicable diseases.
