Key medical and public health officials and professionals from Guangdong, Macao and Hong Kong will attend the Eleventh Tripartite Meeting of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao on the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases in Macao on September 8 and 9.
During the two-day meeting, experts from the three places will review the latest situation of communicable diseases, the prevention and control of scarlet fever, anti-microbial resistance, laboratory surveillance of infectious diseases and have exchanges in laboratory technology.
Led by the Director of Health, Dr PY Lam, the Hong Kong delegation will comprise representatives from the Department of Health and the Hospital Authority.
His counterpart delegations will be led by the Associate Director of the Department of Health of Guangdong Province, Mr Huang Fei; and the Director of the Health Bureau of Macao, Dr Lei Chin Ion.
A joint press conference will be held after the two-day meeting at noon on Friday (September 9) in the Grand Ballroom 4 of Grand Hyatt Macau.
