Announcement of results of Pharmacists Registration Examination

The following is issued on behalf of the Pharmacy and Poisons Board of Hong Kong:

The Pharmacy and Poisons Board of Hong Kong announced today (September 17) the results of the Pharmacists Registration Examination held in June 2012.

There were 98, 72 and 123 candidates sitting for examinations in "Pharmacy Legislation in Hong Kong", "Pharmacy Practice" and "Pharmacology" respectively, with corresponding pass rates of 60.2 per cent, 72.2 per cent and 22 per cent.

In addition to meeting other requirements prescribed by the Board, any pharmacy graduate from outside Hong Kong intending to be registered as a pharmacist in Hong Kong is required to pass the above three subjects.

The Board conducts its registration examination twice a year, usually in June and December.
