Of the 293 active listed Chinese medicine practitioners enumerated, 44.7% did not receive any additional training, 29.0% received / were receiving one field of additional training, 6.5% received / were receiving two fields of additional training, 2.4% received / were receiving three fields of additional training, 0.7% received / were receiving four fields of additional training, 1.7% received / were receiving five fields of additional training, 1.4% received / were receiving six fields of additional training, 1.7% received / were receiving seven fields of additional training, 10.6% received / were receiving eight or more fields of additional training and 1.4% did not reveal the number of field of additional training.

Among those listed Chinese medicine practitioners who were trained in one field of additional training, 31.8% received / were receiving additional training in Chinese medicine (general practice), 23.5% in orthopaedics and traumatology of Chinese medicine, 14.1% in acupuncture and moxibustion of Chinese medicine, 11.8% in training programme attended before the Chinese medicine practitioners licensing examination, 9.4% in internal medicine of Chinese medicine and 9.4% in others.
