Four registered Chinese medicine practitioners did not indicate the sex. Of the remaining active registered Chinese medicine practitioners enumerated, 2 120 were male and 803 were female. Among the 2 927 active registered Chinese medicine practitioners enumerated, 7(0.2%) worked in the Government, 84(2.9%) worked in the academic sector, 44(1.5%) worked in the Hospital Authority, 89(3.0%) worked in the subvented sector, 2 663(91.0%) worked in the private sector and 40(1.4%) did not reveal their sector of work. In the 2008 Health Manpower Survey, 88 Chinese medicine practitioners with limited registration covered and 37 active Chinese medicine practitioners with limited registration were enumerated. 25 were male and 12 were female. Their sex ratio was 208 male active Chinese medicine practitioners with limited registration enumerated per 100 female active Chinese medicine practitioners with limited registration enumerated. Their mean age was 57.2. Their median age was 59.0. Among the 37 active Chinese medicine practitioners with limited registration enumerated, 20(54.1%) worked in the academic sector, 6(16.2%) worked in the Hospital Authority and 11(29.7%) worked in the subvented sector. In the 2008 Health Manpower Survey, 2 843 listed Chinese medicine practitioners covered and 805 active listed Chinese medicine practitioners were enumerated. Two listed Chinese medicine practitioners did not indicate the sex. Of the remaining active listed Chinese medicine practitioners enumerated, 634 were male and 169 were female. Their sex ratio was 375 male active listed Chinese medicine practitioners enumerated per 100 female active listed Chinese medicine practitioners enumerated. Their mean age was 58.3. Their median age was 57.0. Among the 805 active listed Chinese medicine practitioners enumerated, 2(0.2%) worked in the academic sector, 5(0.6%) worked in the subvented sector, 782(97.1%) worked in the private sector and 16(2.0%) did not reveal their sector of work. In the 2011 Health Manpower Survey, 6 243 registered Chinese medicine practitioners covered and 1 884 active registered Chinese medicine practitioners were enumerated. One registered Chinese medicine practitioner did not indicate the sex. Of the remaining active registered Chinese medicine practitioners enumerated, 1 274 were male and 609 were female. Their sex ratio was 209 male active registered Chinese medicine practitioners enumerated per 100 female active registered Chinese medicine practitioners enumerated. Their mean age was 55.7. Their median age was 58.0. Among the 1 884 active registered Chinese medicine practitioners enumerated, 53(2.8%) worked in the Government and academic sector, 50(2.7%) worked in the Hospital Authority, 109(5.8%) worked in the subvented sector, 1 661(88.2%) worked in the private sector and 11(0.6%) did not reveal their sector of work. In the 2011 Health Manpower Survey, 71 Chinese medicine practitioners with limited registration covered and 26 active Chinese medicine practitioners with limited registration were enumerated. 14 were male and 12 were female. Their sex ratio was 117 male active Chinese medicine practitioners with limited registration enumerated per 100 female active Chinese medicine practitioners with limited registration enumerated. Their mean age was 52.4. Their median age was 53.0. Among the 26 active Chinese medicine practitioners with limited registration enumerated, 16(61.5%) worked in the academic sector, 6(23.1%) worked in the Hospital Authority and 4(15.4%) worked in the subvented sector. In the 2011 Health Manpower Survey, 2 763 listed Chinese medicine practitioners covered and 439 active listed Chinese medicine practitioners were enumerated. One listed Chinese medicine practitioner did not indicate the sex. Of the remaining active listed Chinese medicine practitioners enumerated, 319 were male and 119 were female. Their sex ratio was 268 male active listed Chinese medicine practitioners enumerated per 100 female active listed Chinese medicine practitioners enumerated. Their mean age was 60.2. Their median age was 60.0. Among the 439 active listed Chinese medicine practitioners enumerated, 4(0.9%) worked in the academic sector, 3(0.7%) worked in the subvented sector, 418(95.2%) worked in the private sector and 14(3.2%) did not reveal their sector of work. In the 2014 Health Manpower Survey, 6 726 registered Chinese medicine practitioners covered and 1 812 active registered Chinese medicine practitioners were enumerated. Three registered Chinese medicine practitioner did not indicate the sex. Of the remaining active registered Chinese medicine practitioners enumerated, 1 197 were male and 612 were female. Their sex ratio was 196 male active registered Chinese medicine practitioners enumerated per 100 female active registered Chinese medicine practitioners enumerated. Their mean age was 55.8. Their median age was 58.0. Among the 1 812 active registered Chinese medicine practitioners enumerated, 47(2.6%) worked in the Government and academic sectors, 86(4.7%) worked in the Hospital Authority, 83(4.6%) worked in the subvented sector, 1 571(86.7%) worked in the private sector and 25(1.4%) did not reveal their sector of work. In the 2014 Health Manpower Survey, 63 Chinese medicine practitioners with limited registration covered and 21 active Chinese medicine practitioners with limited registration were enumerated. Among them, 15 were male and 6 were female. Their sex ratio was 250 male active Chinese medicine practitioners with limited registration enumerated per 100 female active Chinese medicine practitioners with limited registration enumerated. Their mean age was 59.7. Their median age was 62.0. Among the 21 active Chinese medicine practitioners with limited registration enumerated, 12(57.1%) worked in the academic sector, 6(28.6%) worked in the Hospital Authority and 3(14.3%) worked in the subvented sector. In the 2014 Health Manpower Survey, 2 702 listed Chinese medicine practitioners covered and 328 active listed Chinese medicine practitioners were enumerated. Among them, 265 were male and 63 were female. Their sex ratio was 421 male active listed Chinese medicine practitioners enumerated per 100 female active listed Chinese medicine practitioners enumerated. Their mean age was 62.2. Their median age was 62.0. Among the 328 active listed Chinese medicine practitioners enumerated, 323(98.5%) worked in the private sector and 5(1.5%) did not reveal their sector of work. Notes: 1.
