Of the 439 active listed Chinese medicine practitioners enumerated, 48.1% did not receive any additional training, 24.1% received / were receiving one field of additional training, 8.2% received / were receiving two fields of additional training, 5.2% received / were receiving three fields of additional training, 3.4% received / were receiving four fields of additional training, 10.3% received / were receiving five or more fields of additional training and 0.7% did not reveal the number of field of additional training.

Among those listed Chinese medicine practitioners who were trained in one field of additional training, 61.3% were trained in Chinese medicine (general practice), followed by 15.1% in orthopaedics and traumatology of Chinese medicine, 10.4% in training programme attended before the Chinese medicine practitioners licensing examination, 5.7% in acupuncture and moxibustion of Chinese medicine and 7.5% in others.
