Title: Table A : Number of Healthcare Personnel Enumerated by Sector as at 31.3.2014 A total of 93 audiologists (86 full-time and seven part-time) were employed by the covered institutions as at 31.3.2014. Of the 93 audiologists enumerated as at 31.3.2014, 57 (51 full-time and six part-time) (61.3%) were employed by the private sector, followed by 24 (24 full-time) (25.8%) employed by the Hospital Authority, seven (seven full-time) (7.5%) by the Government and five (four full-time and one part-time) (5.4%) by the subvented sector. A total of 31 audiology technicians (27 full-time and four part-time) were employed by the covered institutions as at 31.3.2014. Of the 31 audiology technicians enumerated as at 31.3.2014, 23 (19 full-time and four part-time) (74.2%) were employed by the private sector, followed by six (six full-time) (19.4%) employed by the Hospital Authority, two (two full-time) (6.5%) by the subvented sector. A total of 63 chiropodists / podiatrists (46 full-time and 17 part-time) were employed by the covered institutions as at 31.3.2014. Of the 63 chiropodists / podiatrists enumerated as at 31.3.2014, 36 (33 full-time and 3 part-time) (57.1%) were employed by the Hospital Authority, followed by 25 (12 full-time and 13 part-time) (39.7%) employed by the private sector and 2 (one full-time and one part-time) (3.2%) employed by the subvented sector. A total of 515 clinical psychologists (421 full-time and 94 part-time) were employed by the covered institutions as at 31.3.2014. Of the 515 clinical psychologists enumerated as at 31.3.2014, 184 (110 full-time and 74 part-time) (35.7%) were employed by the private sector, followed by 142 (136 full-time and six part-time) (27.6%) employed by the Hospital Authority, 124 (124 full-time) (24.1%) by the Government, 46 (37 full-time and nine part-time) (8.9%) by the subvented sector and 19 (14 full-time and five part-time) (3.7%) by the academic sector. A total of 332 dental hygienists (242 full-time and 90 part-time) were employed by the covered institutions as at 31.3.2014. Of the 332 dental hygienists enumerated as at 31.3.2014, 305 (220 full-time and 85 part-time) (91.9%) were employed by the private sector, followed by 18 (13 full-time and five part-time) (5.4%) employed by the academic sector and nine (nine full-time) (2.7%) by the Government. A total of 3 727 dental surgery assistants (3 274 full-time and 453 part-time) were employed by the covered institutions as at 31.3.2014. Of the 3 727 dental surgery assistants enumerated as at 31.3.2014, 3 220 (2 773 full-time and 447 part-time) (86.4%) were employed by the private sector, followed by 309 (309 full-time) (8.3%) employed by the Government, 142 (141 full-time and one part-time) (3.8%) by the academic sector, 46 (41 full-time and five part-time) (1.2%) by the subvented sector and ten (ten full-time) (0.3%) by the Hospital Authority. A total of 354 dental technicians / technologists (337 full-time and 17 part-time) were employed by the covered institutions as at 31.3.2014. Of the 354 dental technicians / technologists enumerated as at 31.3.2014, 274 (257 full-time and 17 part-time) (77.4%) were employed by the private sector, followed by 47 (47 full-time) (13.3%) employed by the Government, 30 (30 full-time) (8.5%) by the academic sector and three (three full-time) (0.8%) by the Hospital Authority. A total of 284 dental therapists (284 full-time) were employed by the covered institutions as at 31.3.2014. Of the 284 dental therapists enumerated as at 31.3.2014, all of them were employed by the Government. A total of 387 dietitians (294 full-time and 93 part-time) were employed by the covered institutions as at 31.3.2014. Of the 387 dietitians enumerated as at 31.3.2014, 209 (136 full-time and 73 part-time) (54.0%) were employed by the private sector, followed by 135 (122 full-time and 13 part-time) (34.9%) employed by the Hospital Authority, 23 (16 full-time and seven part-time) (5.9%) by subvented sector, 17 (17 full-time) (4.4%) by the Government and three (three full-time) (0.8%) by the academic sector. A total of 2 201 dispensers (2 124 full-time and 77 part-time) were employed by the covered institutions as at 31.3.2014. Of the 2 201 dispensers enumerated as at 31.3.2014, 1 130 (1 127 full-time and three part-time) (51.3%) were employed by the Hospital Authority, followed by 921 (848 full-time and 73 part-time) (41.8%) employed by the private sector, 84 (83 full-time and one part-time) (3.8%) by the subvented sector, 60 (60 full-time) (2.7%) by the Government and six (six full-time) (0.3%) by the academic sector. A total of 246 educational psychologists (176 full-time and 70 part-time) were employed by the covered institutions as at 31.3.2014. Of the 246 educational psychologists enumerated as at 31.3.2014, 70 (42 full-time and 28 part-time) (28.5%) were employed by the academic sector, followed by 66 (48 full-time and 18 part-time) (26.8%) employed by the private sector, 63 (39 full-time and 24 part-time) (25.6%) by the subvented sector and 47 (47 full-time) (19.1%) by the Government. A total of 46 mould laboratory technicians (43 full-time and three part-time) were employed by the covered institutions as at 31.3.2014. Of the 46 mould laboratory technicians enumerated as at 31.3.2014, 26 (26 full-time) (56.5%) were employed by the Hospital Authority, and the remaining 20 (17 full-time and three part-time) (43.5%) employed by the private sector. A total of 59 orthoptists (47 full-time and 12 part-time) were employed by the covered institutions as at 31.3.2014. Of the 59 orthoptists enumerated as at 31.3.2014, 42 (31 full-time and 11 part-time) (71.2%) were employed by the private sector, followed by 15 (14 full-time and one part-time) (25.4%) employed in the Hospital Authority and two (two full-time) (3.4%) by the Government. A total of 165 prosthetists / orthotists (157 full-time and eight part-time) were employed by the covered institutions as at 31.3.2014. Of the 165 prosthetists / orthotists enumerated as at 31.3.2014, 126 (126 full-time) (76.4%) were employed by the Hospital Authority, followed by 36 (28 full-time and eight part-time) (21.8%) employed by the private sector and two (two full-time) (1.2%) by the academic sector and one (one full-time) (0.6%) by the subvented sector. A total of 224 scientific officers (medical) (216 full-time and eight part-time) were employed by the covered institutions as at 31.3.2014. Of the 224 scientific officers (medical) enumerated as at 31.3.2014, 110 (110 full-time) (49.1%) were employed by the Government, followed by 58 (57 full-time and one part-time) (25.9%) employed by the Hospital Authority and 28 (12.5%) employed by the private sector (21 full-time and seven part-time) and the academic sector (28 full-time). A total of 641 speech therapists (507 full-time and 134 part-time) were employed by the covered institutions as at 31.3.2014. Of the 641 speech therapists enumerated as at 31.3.2014, 259 (220 full-time and 39 part-time) (40.4%) were employed by the subvented sector, followed by 227 (160 full-time and 67 part-time) (35.4%) employed by the private sector, 82 (80 full-time and two part-time) (12.8%) by the Hospital Authority, 51 (25 full-time and 26 part-time) (8.0%) by the academic sector and 22 (22 full-time) (3.4%) by the Government.
