The Centre for Health Protection (CHP) of the Department of Health received reports of influenza-like illness (ILI) outbreaks in two schools affecting eight persons during the 24 hours ending at noon today (September 10).
Report about Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease (HFMD) outbreaks involving two persons in a school was received during the same period.
The above brought to six and 14 respectively the cumulative totals of ILI and HFMD outbreak reports since the start of the new school term in September.
