Results of Registration Examination for Pharmacists announced

The following is issued on behalf of the Pharmacy and Poisons Board of Hong Kong:

The Pharmacy and Poisons Board of Hong Kong today (March 1) announced results of the Pharmacists Registration Examination held in December 2009.

There were 70, 63 and 56 candidates sitting for the Examination in "Pharmacy Legislation in Hong Kong", "Pharmacy Practice" and "Pharmacology" respectively with corresponding passing rates at 52.9%, 49.2% and 39.3%.

Apart from meeting other requirements prescribed by the board, any pharmacy graduate outside Hong Kong intending to be registered as a pharmacist in Hong Kong is required to pass the three subjects above.

The board conducts registration examinations twice a year, normally in June and December.
