Statistics on human swine influenza vaccinations

At least 645 doses of human swine influenza (HSI) vaccine were administered to target groups at Hospital Authority (HA), Department of Health (DH) and private clinics as well as residential care homes in the 24 hours ending at 1pm today (February 26).

Of this number, 178 were administered at HA and DH clinics while the eHealth System received 59 and 408 vaccination reimbursement claims from private doctors and visiting medical officers to residential care homes respectively. It is expected that some additional vaccinations given will be recorded in the eHealth System later.

The administered doses comprised 68 for community-living elderly aged 65 or above, 62 for people under 65 years with chronic illnesses, 34 for healthcare workers, 97 for children aged between six months and less than six years, one for pregnant woman and 383 for residents of residential care homes.

The cumulative total of HSI jabs administered to target groups since the start of the vaccination programme on December 21, 2009, is now at least 178,747.
