Statistics on human swine influenza vaccinations

At least 1,298 doses of human swine influenza (HSI) vaccine were
administered to target groups at Hospital Authority (HA), Department
of Health (DH) and private clinics as well as residential care homes
during the 24 hours ending at 1pm today (February 9).
Of this number, 397 were administered at HA and DH clinics while
the eHealth System received 190 and 711 vaccination reimbursement
claims from private doctors and visiting medical officers to residential
care homes respectively. It is expected that some additional vaccinations
given will be recorded in the eHealth System later.
The administered doses comprised 124 for community-living elderly
aged 65 or above, 127 for persons under 65 years with chronic illnesses,
three for pregnant women, 105 for healthcare workers, 263 for children
aged between six months and less than six years, and 676 for residents
of residential care homes.
The cumulative total of HSI jabs administered to target groups
since the start of the vaccination programme on December 21, 2009
is now at least 169,173.
