Feb 2010
At least 2,203 doses of human swine influenza (HSI) vaccine were
administered to target groups at Hospital Authority (HA), Department
of Health (DH) and private clinics as well as residential care homes
during the 24 hours ending at 1pm today (February 5).
Of this number, 496 were administered at HA and DH clinics while
the eHealth System received 461 and 1,246 vaccination reimbursement
claims from private doctors and visiting medical officers to residential
care homes respectively. It is expected that some additional vaccinations
already given will be recorded in the eHealth System later.
The administered doses comprised 294 for community-living elderly
aged 65 or above, 229 for persons under 65 years with chronic illnesses,
five for pregnant women, 124 for healthcare workers, 392 for children
aged between six months and less than six years, and 1,159 for residents
of residential care homes.
The cumulative total of HSI jabs administered to target groups
since the start of the vaccination programme on December 21, 2009
is now at least 164,961.
