Taxi driver located

A spokesman for the Centre for Health Protection (CHP) of the Department of Health said today (May 3) that CHP interviewed the driver which had taken the 25-year-old Mexican man (index patient), who was confirmed to have been infected with human swine flu, from the airport to the hotel.

He is asymptomic and had taken to Lady Maclehose Holiday Village, a designated site, for quarantine.

Thorough disinfection of his taxi had been conducted by the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department.

CHP is trying to get in touch with the other taxi driver who had taken the index patient from the hotel to hospital.

The spokesman reminded members of the public to strictly observe the strict personal and environmental hygiene to prevent infection.
